Camperada

Camperada for iPhone, iPad and Android

The planner as an app: routes with your vehicle dimensions, campsites along the way, travel days with overnight stops, fuel and tolls. Free, with no ad banners, no third-party tracking services and, as always, no account required.

It is the same planner as in the browser. With an account, a trip you build at home on the big screen sits under “My routes” and can be edited on the road in the app. Without an account you open it with its save code and save changes as a new trip.

What the app does

For planning, calculating and saving, the app does everything the planner does in the browser, and none of it costs extra. Story images, trip films and embed codes are made in the browser; in the app you share the link.

Routes with your dimensions
Height, width, length and weight feed into the route calculation. At the push of a button, the finished route is also checked against possible height and weight restrictions from OpenStreetMap.
Travel days, not kilometres
You say how long you want to drive each day. The plan distributes stages, nights and calendar days; drives that run too long get a night on the way.
Around 208,000 sites worldwide
Campsites and motorhome stopovers from OpenStreetMap, in the map view and around every stop, with facilities and website wherever the data provides them.
Costs before you set off
Fuel based on the prices of the countries you cross, vignettes as a fixed amount, distance-based tolls as a range. What is estimated stays a range at Camperada.
Hired? Counted in.
Daily rate and flat fees from your quote, the deposit shown separately, and your route checked against the mileage package you booked.
GPX for your sat nav
The export goes through the system share sheet: to your files, to a navigation app or into a message. GPX 1.1 with waypoints and track.
The app's costs tab: base hire, flat fees and the route checked against the included mileage of the hire agreementThe app's site search: 264 campsites and stopovers around Lake Garda as points on the map

Honest stays honest

As an app, Camperada keeps to its limits too: no turn-by-turn navigation while driving, no reviews or photos of sites, and an internet connection is required. What the planner does not reliably know, it does not claim; estimated costs appear as a range, not as false precision.

The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android, with the same features and the same save code: a trip you save on one device opens on the other. If you would rather not install anything, plan in the browser, again with the same save code.

Frequently asked questions about the app

What does the app cost?

Nothing. The app is free, with no in-app purchases, no ad banners and no third-party tracking services. There is no premium tier.

Is Camperada available for Android?

Yes, free on Google Play. The Android app does everything the iPhone and iPad app does, and the save code opens a trip on any device, including between iPhone and Android.

Do I need an account?

No. You secure your trip with a save code and open it with that on any device. A free account is optional, and it can be deleted again from within the app.

Does the app work offline?

No, an internet connection is needed. Maps, sites and prices come from the servers; without a connection the map stays empty.

Does the app navigate as well?

No. Camperada plans the trip, you drive it with a sat nav or maps app. That is what the GPX export via the share sheet is for.

Take the planner with you

Plan at home, adjust on the road: the app brings routes, sites and costs to where the trip actually happens.
