Features of the motorhome route planner
Four things separate a motorhome route planner from a car route planner. As soon as the trip crosses a border a fifth comes in, and anyone travelling above 3.5 tonnes has a sixth. Each of them has its own page here, covering what it does and what it does not.
A route that knows your dimensions
Your profile feeds into the calculation, and at the push of a button the finished route is checked against height, width and weight limits.
ViewPlaces to stay where your evening ends
Sites from OpenStreetMap in the map view and around every stop, with facilities and address.
ViewThe route becomes a trip plan
Driving hours per day, nights per stop, departure date: these become travel days with dates and overnight stops on the way, with site search included.
ViewWhat the trip costs before you set off
Fuel from consumption and national prices, refuelling stops on the map, vignettes and distance-based tolls. For hired vehicles, the rental and mileage package on top.
ViewKnow what applies across the border before you cross it
A fact sheet at every border: speed for your weight, lights, alcohol, required equipment, winter rules and low emission zones, each with its source.
View3.5 tonnes is not where this stops
Routing and the clearance check use your real weight, and for tolls the planner states which system applies above 3.5 t instead of showing a car tariff.

And the rest of the trip
Then there is everything that needs no page of its own: the export for your sat nav (GPX) or for Google Earth (KML), saving by code without signing up, sharing a route via a link you create for it, and an optional account that brings routes and vehicles together. All free, with no ad banners.
