Camperada

Terms of use

This is a convenience translation. The legally binding version of this document is the German original; in case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.

1. Scope and provider

1.1 These terms of use apply to all Camperada services: the website camperada.de with its content, the route planner at planer.camperada.de, the conversion planner at ausbau.camperada.de and the Camperada app (together “the services”). The services share one account: whoever signs in to Camperada is signed in to every service.

1.2 The provider of the services is osnabyte., owner Jan Gloger, Albert-Einstein-Straße 1, 49076 Osnabrück, Deutschland (“we”). The full provider identification with contact details is in the legal notice.

1.3 The services are aimed at consumers as well as at traders. Deviating terms of users (“you”) do not apply. The German version of these terms of use is authoritative; the English version is a translation.

2. Services and free use

2.1 Camperada is a planning tool for motorhome trips and interior conversions. The route planner calculates routes taking into account the vehicle dimensions you enter, shows campsites and stopovers, ferry connections, sights and weather forecasts, divides the trip into stages with overnight stays, estimates fuel, toll and rental costs and exports the route as a GPX or KML file. The conversion planner displays floor plans for the interior conversion, checks collisions and calculates the payload; it is open to everyone as a beta and still under construction. The app provides the route planner for iOS and Android.

2.2 Use of the services is free of charge for you. There are no paid tiers, and an account is likewise free. Camperada is financed in part through commissions that we receive from partner portals when you complete a booking via a labelled partner link (clause 5).

2.3 The content and calculations are based on OpenStreetMap data and on third-party services, in particular for route calculation, weather forecasts, weekly fuel price statistics and toll tariffs, which are shown with their reference year. Which source plays which role is stated on the page About Camperada.

2.4 We develop the services continuously. There is no entitlement to particular features, to constant availability, to further development or to the continued existence of the services. Details on changes and discontinuation are governed by clause 9.

3. Use without an account, account and conclusion of contract

3.1 All planning features of the trip planner can be used without an account. Changing, making private or deleting a saved plan later requires an account. By using the services, you accept these terms of use.

3.2 An account is voluntary and makes it possible to save routes, vehicles and layouts linked to the account and to reply to feedback within the account. The contract on the free use of the account is concluded when you complete the registration form (email address, password, optionally a name), take note of these terms of use and click “Create account”. You can correct your entries in the form fields at any time before submitting. We confirm the conclusion of the contract by an email with a link to confirm your address; it contains the essential details of the contract, the instructions on withdrawal under clause 4 and a reference to these terms of use. We do not store the text of the contract separately. However, every version of these terms of use remains available at a permanent address; the email refers to the version in force at your registration, which you can save and print. The language of the contract is German.

3.3 To register an account, you must be of legal age or act with the consent of your legal representatives. Each person may hold only one account; the account is not transferable.

3.4 Keep your login credentials secret. You are responsible for actions taken using your login credentials insofar as the unauthorised use is attributable to you. Inform us if you suspect misuse of your account.

3.5 You can delete your account yourself at any time without observing a notice period (in the account under “Settings”). We may terminate the contract on the account with a notice period of 30 days in text form, for instance if we discontinue the account as a feature; in that case we will point out the option of exporting your data beforehand. The right of both parties to terminate for good cause remains unaffected. Good cause exists for us in particular if you seriously or repeatedly breach clause 8. Before terminating or suspending for good cause, we will inform you of the intended measure and its reason and give you the opportunity to respond, unless immediate action is required to avert an infringement of rights or a risk to operations.

4. Right of withdrawal for consumers on registering an account

If you conclude the contract on an account as a consumer (clause 3.2), you have the following right of withdrawal. It does not apply to the use of the services without an account.

Instructions on withdrawal

Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (osnabyte., Jan Gloger, Albert-Einstein-Straße 1, 49076 Osnabrück, Deutschland, phone +49 (0)541 44 38 33, email [email protected]) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will delete your account together with the data assigned to it. As use of the account is free of charge, we have received no payments from you and have none to refund.

Model withdrawal form
(If you wish to withdraw from the contract, please complete this form and return it.)

To osnabyte., Jan Gloger, Albert-Einstein-Straße 1, 49076 Osnabrück, Deutschland, email [email protected]:

I/We (*) hereby withdraw from the contract concluded by me/us (*) for the provision of the following service: Camperada account, registered under the email address …

Ordered on (*)/received on (*): …

Name of consumer(s): …

Address of consumer(s): …

Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper)

Date: …

(*) Delete as appropriate.

For the withdrawal, the “Withdraw from contract” button is also available in the account under “Settings”; we confirm receipt by email. Irrespective of the right of withdrawal, you can delete your account yourself at any time (clause 3.5).

5. Partner links and bookings with third parties

5.1 For campsites that a partner portal lists as bookable, the route planner shows a booking link to the page of the site on that portal, and for ferry connections that a partner portal lists, a link to the page of the connection. Such links are partner links and are labelled as such directly at the link: if you complete a booking via the link, we receive a commission from the portal or the intermediary partner network. Whether a site receives a booking link depends solely on whether the portal lists it as bookable, whether we can match it reliably and, if your plan has a travel date, whether the portal preselects these dates on its page. Which sites the route planner shows and in which order does not depend on the partnership. Which partner portals and partner networks exist is set out exhaustively in the privacy policy (section “Booking links to partner portals”).

5.2 A booking contract is concluded exclusively between you and the partner portal or the operator of the site or ferry. We are not involved in this booking, do not broker it and do not accept any payments. Of your details, the link contains at most the chosen site or connection, your travel dates and the travellers you have entered; what a particular link passes on is shown in the notice before you continue, and the privacy policy sets out the details. Prices, availability, facilities, booking conditions and cancellation rules are determined solely by the portal or the site operator; their terms apply to the booking. The route planner displays neither prices nor availability.

5.3 A site or port is matched to its page on the partner portal automatically by name and location from the partner portal’s data. Despite strict matching rules, a link may in individual cases lead to a site other than the one displayed, for instance to a neighbouring site with the same name. Before booking, therefore, check on the destination page whether name and location match the site you want. Please report mismatches to us via the feedback form or by email; we will correct them.

5.4 We accept no liability for the services of the partner portal and the site operator. Our liability for our own obligations in connection with displaying the links is governed by clause 10.

6. Planning aid, no warranty

6.1 All calculations and displays of the services are planning aids: the calculated route, the clearance check with possible restrictions, toll, fuel and rental costs, ferry connections, weather forecasts, site data, sights, the rules on the road (country fact sheets and low emission zones), the trip plan with its stages and, in the conversion planner, dimensions, weights and payload. They are based on open data and third-party information that may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. We give no assurance that this information is correct, complete or current; OpenStreetMap data is provided without warranty.

The traffic signs and the actual conditions on site are decisive, not what the route planner displays. Even a clearance check that finds no restriction only means that the evaluated OpenStreetMap data contains no restriction below the entered dimensions; it does not mean that the route is passable for your vehicle. Responsibility for driving the vehicle, for choosing the route and for complying with traffic rules lies with you.

6.2 The same applies to the conversion planner: the stored dimensions and furniture weights are reference values. The payload calculation replaces neither weighing the loaded vehicle nor a technical inspection; the details in the vehicle documents and the actual weight are decisive.

6.3 Cost and toll figures are estimates based on the stored tariffs and price statistics. Distance-based tolls are shown as a range; where no reliable tariffs are available, a note appears instead of a figure. Rental costs are calculated exclusively from your own entries.

7. Save code, stored content and rights of use

7.1 You can save trip plans without an account and receive a save code for them. The code is a read key: whoever knows it can view the plan and continue planning it as their own route. A plan can only be changed, renamed or deleted from the account it belongs to. A plan saved without an account is therefore unchangeable, even for you; continuing to plan creates a new route with its own code. Treat code and link like the plan itself. We automatically delete plans saved without an account if they are not opened for an extended period; the period is stated in the privacy policy.

7.2 Plans in an account are initially visible only to that account. You can expressly share a plan; it is then accessible to anyone who knows the code or link and is provided with its title and stops as a preview for messengers and social networks; with the embed code it can be placed on other websites. You can revoke the sharing at any time.

7.3 In the content you store in the services (titles, stops, notes, vehicle and layout details), you grant us the non-exclusive, royalty-free right to store and process it and to deliver it to persons who know the save code or link, for the purpose of providing the services. You warrant that you hold the rights required for this. We acquire no further rights.

7.4 Map and site data come from OpenStreetMap and are licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). You may use exported files (GPX, KML and PNG) without restriction for your own trip and conversion planning; when passing on map data, the terms of the ODbL must be complied with.

8. Permitted use

8.1 The services are intended for personal trip and conversion planning. Automated bulk requests, the systematic reading of the interfaces or datasets (scraping) and the circumvention of technical access limits are not permitted. The requests of the services run through specialist services with limited quotas; to protect operations, we limit the number of requests per sender.

8.2 No unlawful content may be stored in feedback, in route, vehicle and layout names, in notes or in other free-text fields, in particular no content that is insulting or threatening, that contains personal data of third parties without their consent or that infringes the rights of third parties. The services may not be used to distribute malware or to harass third parties.

8.3 In the event of breaches of clause 8, we may remove the content concerned, restrict individual features or suspend and terminate the account (clauses 3.5 and 11).

9. Availability, changes to the services and discontinuation

9.1 We strive for high availability of the services but do not owe it. Maintenance work, disruptions at third-party specialist services or attacks may lead to interruptions.

9.2 We may change, add to or discontinue features of the services where there is a valid reason: changes in the law or in official requirements, security reasons, technical development, the loss or change of data sources, specialist services or partner programmes, and adaptation to changed usage habits. The core of the services, the free planning of trips without an account, remains unaffected by this; a change does not cause you any costs. We will inform account holders in good time in text form of material changes affecting their stored content.

9.3 We may discontinue the services as a whole. We will inform account holders at least 30 days in advance in text form. You can back up your planning at any time, for instance as a GPX or KML file in the route planner. In the conversion planner, every view can be exported as an image; you can obtain a copy of your layouts as a file on request (right to data portability, see the privacy policy).

10. Liability

10.1 We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for fraudulently concealed defects and under the ProdHaftG (German Product Liability Act).

10.2 In the event of simple negligence, we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations. Essential contractual obligations are those obligations whose fulfilment is a prerequisite for the proper performance of the contract in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to compensation for the foreseeable damage typical of the contract. Otherwise, liability for simple negligence is excluded.

10.3 The nature of the services follows from clauses 2, 5 and 6. In particular, the calculations described there are planning aids for whose accuracy we give no guarantee, and bookings with partner portals are contracts with third parties.

10.4 The above limitations also apply to the personal liability of our vicarious agents. Mandatory statutory rights to which you are entitled as a consumer remain unaffected.

11. Notice of illegal content and measures

11.1 If you consider content that users have stored and shared in the services (for instance the title or the stops of a shared trip plan) to be illegal, you can report it to us by email to [email protected]. Please state the save code or link, the content objected to and the reason for your notice, as well as your contact details if you would like a reply.

11.2 We examine notices promptly, diligently and objectively. If we find that content is illegal or breaches clause 8, we remove it or restrict access to it. There is no automated content review; every decision is taken by the operator personally. We inform the person whose content is affected of the measure and its reason, insofar as we know a way to contact them; that person may raise objections by email to the same address, which we will examine anew.

12. Data protection

Which personal data we process when you use the services is set out in the privacy policy.

13. Changes to these terms of use

13.1 We may amend these terms of use with effect for the future where this is necessary for a valid reason: changes in the law or in case law, changes to the services under clause 9, new or changed partner programmes, security reasons or the closing of a gap in the provisions. The core of the services (clause 9.2) and the relationship between performance and consideration are not changed by this route; the introduction of a fee always requires your express consent.

13.2 We will notify account holders of amendments at least six weeks before they take effect by email to the account address. If you do not object to the amendments before they take effect, they are deemed accepted; we will specifically draw your attention to this consequence and to your right to object in the notification. If you object, the contract on the account ends when the amendments take effect; until then, you can export and delete your account. For use without an account, the version published on this page at the time applies.

14. Final provisions

14.1 The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, to the exclusion of the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer with your habitual residence in another state, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of that state, from which no derogation by agreement is permitted, remain unaffected by this choice of law.

14.2 We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Section 36 VSBG, German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act).

14.3 Should individual provisions of these terms of use be invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected; an invalid provision is replaced by the statutory provisions (Section 306 BGB, German Civil Code).

Version of these terms of use: 28. Oktober 2026 (same version as the German original).

Earlier versions: 9. Oktober 2026, 25. August 2026.
