Terms of use
This is a convenience translation. The legally binding version of this document is the German original; in case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
1. Scope and provider
These terms of use apply to all Camperada services: the website with its content, the route planner, the conversion planner (each on its own subdomain) and the Camperada app. The tools share one account: whoever signs in to Camperada is signed in to every tool.
Camperada is operated by osnabyte. (owner Jan Gloger), Albert-Einstein-Straße 1, 49076 Osnabrück, Deutschland. The full provider identification with contact details is in the legal notice.
Camperada is free of charge. All tools can be used without an account; an account is voluntary and likewise free. By registering an account you accept these terms of use.
2. What Camperada provides
Camperada is a planning tool for motorhome trips and interior conversions. The route planner calculates routes with your vehicle’s dimensions, shows campsites and stopovers, divides the trip into stages with overnight stays and estimates fuel and toll costs. The conversion planner displays interior layouts, checks collisions and calculates payload; it is open to everyone as a beta and still under construction.
The content and calculations are based on OpenStreetMap data and on third-party services: route calculation, weather forecasts, weekly fuel price statistics and toll tariffs, which are shown with their tariff year. Which source plays which role is listed on the page About Camperada.
Camperada is continuously developed. There is no entitlement to particular features, to constant availability, to further development or to the continued existence of the service: features may change or be removed, and the service may be discontinued. You can secure your planning at any time, for instance as a GPX file in the route planner. In the conversion planner every view can be exported as an image, and a copy of your layouts as a file is available on request (right to data portability, see the privacy policy).
3. A planning aid, not a warranty
All calculations and displays in Camperada are planning aids: the calculated route, the clearance check with possible restrictions, toll and fuel costs, ferry connections, weather forecasts, site data, the trip plan with its stages, and in the conversion planner dimensions, weights and payload. They are based on open data and third-party information that may be incomplete, outdated or incorrect. We give no assurance that this information is correct, complete or current; OpenStreetMap data comes without warranty.
The traffic signs and the actual conditions on site are decisive, not what the planner displays. Even a clearance check without findings only means that the evaluated OpenStreetMap data contains no restriction below the entered dimensions; it does not mean the route is passable for your vehicle. Responsibility for driving the vehicle, choosing the route and complying with traffic law lies with you.
The same applies to the conversion planner: the stored dimensions and furniture weights are reference values. The payload calculation replaces neither weighing the loaded vehicle nor a technical inspection; the vehicle documents and the actual weight are decisive.
4. Liability
We are liable without limitation for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, for intent and gross negligence, and under the German Product Liability Act.
In cases of simple negligence we are liable only for the breach of essential contractual obligations — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper use of Camperada possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely. In that case, liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service. Beyond that, liability for simple negligence is excluded.
The nature of Camperada follows from sections 2 and 3. In particular, the calculations described there are planning aids; we do not guarantee their accuracy.
5. Account, save code and stored content
You can save trip plans without an account and receive a save code for them. The code is a read key, not a write permission: whoever knows it can view the plan and continue planning it as their own route. Changing, renaming or deleting a plan is only possible from the account it belongs to. A plan saved without an account is therefore unchangeable, even for you; planning on creates a new route with its own code. Treat code and link like the plan itself. Plans saved without an account are deleted automatically if they are not opened for an extended period; the exact period is stated in the privacy policy.
For an account you need an email address and a password. Keep your credentials secret. You can delete your account yourself at any time; what happens to your routes, vehicles and layouts is likewise stated in the privacy policy.
6. Permitted use
Camperada is meant for personal trip and conversion planning. Automated bulk requests and the systematic reading of the interfaces or datasets (scraping) are not permitted: the planner’s requests run through services with tight quotas, and whoever harvests them by machine takes the feature away from everyone else. To protect the operation, we limit the number of requests.
Feedback, route, vehicle and layout names and other free-text fields must not contain unlawful content, in particular nothing insulting, threatening or infringing third-party rights. We may remove such content.
7. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the state of your habitual residence remain unaffected.
We are neither willing nor obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Version of these terms of use: 9. Oktober 2026 (same version as the German original). We adapt them when Camperada or the legal situation changes; the current version is always on this page.
